The paper
About The Shingle
A small daily paper for Brighton & Hove, with the good, useful and interesting news and nothing designed to wind you up.
Local news has got hard to read. Too many pop-ups, too much crime, too many headlines written to make you click and then feel worse.
The Shingle is the opposite: one calm edition every morning about the city we live in. New places to eat, things to do this week, people doing good work, and the council decisions that change how the city runs. Every story says where its facts came from.
It's named after the beach. You can't build a sandcastle on it, but it's ours.
