100% would send a mate. Still recommended in 2026.
A consistently recommended Bond Street spot for good sourdough, an oily sea salt and rosemary focaccia, and generous cake slices (a Victoria sponge gets singled out as incredible) at decent prices. Regularly named alongside Bond St Coffee and Pelicano as a solid, less chaotic place to sit and work with a coffee.

…is fairly quiet around this time of year. Lovely atmosphere too, always feels less chaotic than Churchill square. Trading post, pelicano and flour pot bakery always have seats both inside and out. If that's too far, Bond Street is also a great option, Bond Street bakery, flint owl bakery are nice. People and always coming and going so again, seats shouldn't be an issue! I forgot to mention, but the food/bakery items in the cafes listed above are 10/10. Floupot bakery in particular do excellent sandwiches, toasties, soup everything you can think of for a yummy lunch! Spenny, but…
…looked nice, and there’s a plant/flower shop next to it. the North Laine has Pelicano (pretty decent coffee) and some other nice interesting shops. the coffee from Bond St Coffee, in the Lanes, was the coffee I’ve most enjoyed here so far. just across the road there’s Flint Owl bakery, which is nice too. their sourdough bread is good. my sister loves The Bok Shop for chicken burgers. Fika (in Hove) makes one that is also pretty decent.
