Named again and again alongside LOAM and Ikigai as one of Brighton's best specialty coffee shops, with love for the espresso, filter, cold brew and the miso cookies. One thread notes it's a bit cheaper than rivals like Temple, though another lumps it in with a few shops as 'decent but inconsistent'.

Ikigai, Komodo, LOAM are my top 3. 17_Grams, Dharma, The Botanist, Triple Point, Stoney Point, Bond Street follow in no particular order. All the above are my faves in Central/Lanes/North Laine but there are *loads* more amazing places if you fancy a sojourn out of the main hubs of the city. Flour Pot also does a lovely…
IMO Coffee at 33 and Triple Point have the best coffee. 33 has the advantage of very good cakes, too. Some other places aren't quite as great coffee wise, but better atmosphere, e.g. Bread and Milk. Komodo is very decent. I think anywhere that offers different speciality beans and plays around with different methods (e.g. pourover) is going to be solid. It's wild that with Brighton's huge number of speciality coffee shops, Costa, Pret and Starbucks are still so popular for visitors. They cost roughly the same!…
I really like Komodo & Ikigai. Both sometimes have some interesting options regarding beans as well, which is always fun. Dandy is really solid too, and never disappoints.
Definitive list IMO. I’ve been disappointed by both LOAM and Komodo but they come so highly recommended they must be worth another try.
