Recommended for gentle walks, spring bluebells and birdsong, with a spot near the top of the hill giving views over Brighton to the sea. One commenter called parts of it 'a bit grotty', but most rate it as a solid, dog-walkable park reachable by bus.

From Bevendean you can do a nice circular over the downs to the Amex Stadium, through the Uni, Stanmer Park and finally Wild Park. Alternatively get the bus to Lewes and walk back over the Juggs Road path. All other recommendations suggested in this post are pretty good too.

Wild park, sheepcoat valley, Brighton to Lewes walk, devils dyke, ditching beacon. I walk my dog around these daily - all accessible via bus. Also, I recommend AllTrails app. The free version is all you need and you'll find a ton of walks in there.
