100% would send a mate. Still recommended in 2025.

Gardner Street favourite for people who like unusual coffee — adventurous single-origin and even fermented beans alongside a solid classic blend. The in-house bakery's caramelised chocolate cookie gets particular praise, though at £3.50 it isn't cheap.

What locals say

I'm really into coffee mate. Like the weird stuff. Triple Point coffee opposite that baby shop in the North Laines is my go to place. The guy usually has a few adventurous varieties and I even got fermented stuff there once from his mate who roasts up in Scotland. Their regular blend is also good if you're into more classic tastes for milk and stuff so I hear from…

The bakery at Triple Point Coffee produce the finest cookie there is, in my opinion! It’s this perfect, caramelised, chocolatey discus of dough. It’s expensive at £3.50 (last time I checked) but I can’t fault it. All made in-house with local ingredients. Whatever Stu is doing there, he’s got it bang on.

Ikigai, Iydea, The Spice Shop and Triple Point Coffee all have some great products with very sustainable practices - Iydea in particular, who power the building with electricity generated by composting and other naturally derived waste prodcuts.
