Angela Barnes plays The Old Market on 13 November for Sussex NHS hospitals
The former Mock the Week regular, once a health and social care worker, tops a bill with two Brighton comics. All ticket profits go to local NHS hospitals.
Angela Barnes headlines a night of stand-up at The Old Market in Hove on Friday 13 November. All profits from ticket sales go to local NHS hospitals in Sussex.
The night is put on by Filthy Gig Dog Promotions and My Charity. Barnes has a link to the cause: she worked in health and social care before she took up stand-up in 2010. She won the BBC New Comedy Award in 2011 and was a regular on BBC Two’s Mock the Week. She has also done Live at the Apollo, and on Radio 4 she has appeared on The Now Show and The News Quiz, which she recently hosted for a stint.
Two Brighton comics, Anthony Ayton and Joe Foster, are also on the bill. Foster won the Fosters South Coast Comedian Of The Year competition in 2015. Guy Lloyd compères.
Doors open at 7.15pm and the show runs from 8pm to 10pm. Tickets are £18 plus a £2 venue levy, and seats are unreserved.
