Universal Quantum, a University of Sussex spin-out, raises over $100m

The quantum computing company grew out of research at the university, which says this is a record for one of its spin-outs.

Lewes RoadUniversal Quantum, a quantum computing company spun out of the University of Sussex, has raised more than $100 million from investors. The company announced the Series A round on 8 October.

It says this is the largest Series A ever raised by a quantum firm headquartered in the UK. The university says it is a record for one of its spin-outs.
