Three new places to eat in Brighton and Hove this autumn
Mediterranean small plates on North Road, sharing plates in Hove at 30% off while the team settles in, and an Asian-inspired deli for the Open Market.
Three new openings to know about this autumn, from Restaurants Brighton’s running list of the city’s new places to eat.
Barbino, North Road
Barbino is opening in early October at Dots on North Road, where it shares the space with The Botanist Coffee Co. It’s the first permanent home in central Brighton for the Mediterranean small-plates kitchen. Expect flatbreads, sardines escabeche, low-intervention wines and cocktails.
Gatherin, Church Road, Hove
Gatherin opened on 23 September at The Greenhouse, 55 Church Road. It serves small plates for sharing, with flavours from all over the world. To mark the launch, all food is 30% off from Tuesday to Friday while the team settles in.
The Greenhouse runs from morning to evening. By day there’s coffee, shakshuka, Reuben sandwiches and Swedish baked goods, and there’s a terrace if the weather holds.
Lunch Deli, Brighton Open Market
Coming soon to the Open Market on London Road, Lunch Deli will make quick Asian-inspired lunches every day: loaded subs, bowls and fresh rolls, made with local produce. It joins Original Tony’s, which brought its 72-hour slow-fermented pizza to the market in June.
