One of the most consistently recommended cheap eats in Brighton — Redditors praise the Doro Wot, Key Wot and sharing platters, often calling it their favourite restaurant in the city and a go-to for less than a tenner a head. It's BYOB and cash-only, and being small, groups are advised to book ahead.

Aren't most restaurants owned by ethnic minorities? Does it have to be ethnic minorities that are statistically "disadvantaged" or can it include minorities who do better than the majority on average? Or specifically just black? Personally I can highly recommend Abyssinia. Friendly owners, great restaurant, great atmosphere, food super delicious. Remember to bring cash as they don't take card.

It's called Abyssinia. I highly recommend trying to Key Wot, Doro Wot and a salad (the simple one with chilies). Super delicious. Just don't go there first, because all the next choices will slightly disappoint you in comparison ;)
