Frequently named a favourite Brighton pub, praised for its cosy vibe, generous pub food (chips, burgers, big portions) and a well-loved Sunday roast with vegan options. Also known for its walls covered in old tins and messages, a few real ales on, and occasional jazz nights.

Maybe a dumb question, but best at what? Fortune of war is a great location, Basketmakers is a great traditional pub with good beer, Haus on the Hill is a great little traditional vibe with a great selection but out of the centre (same for the Independent, but that's a cooler vibe with an even bigger selection of craft), The Grays/Geese further down the hill have great food, The Howard has…
I usually take visiting friends for a bit of shopping/wandering in the North Laine and a drink in the Basketmakers Arms (have a look inside the tins that are all over the walls!) You…
The Haus on the Hill in Hanover is very good, as is The Basketmakers Arms in town. They also keep serving quite late. I can’t remember the specific cauliflower cheese status. I think the Haus has it as a side.
