No. 4 of 141 cafés on r/brighton, from 25 locals across 9 threads.
100% would send a mate. Still recommended in 2026.
Consistently named Brighton's best or near-best coffee, with particular praise for their beans, pastel de natas and pistachio basque cheesecake. Regulars like the calm, music-free room, and almost no one in these threads has a bad word to say.

1. Stoney Point, 2. Coffee@33, 3. Ikigai (fairly new place on Queens Road) are all banging and on a par. So many places I used to rate are terrible. Someone recommended LOAM to me recently and it was the worst, most acrid, burnt coffee I’ve ever had. For £4. Made it too far to work to take it back. Avoid that place.
Stoney Point, Ikigai and coffee 33 for me as well. Honourable mentions to Flat Out, Twin Pines. 17 Grams roastery in North Laine meant to be very good but I’ve never been. LOAM, Triple Point, Dandy, Komodo, Bond Street all decent but inconsistent. 44 poets meant to be good but I’ve personally never had a good one there. Maybe I was…
Bond St Coffee Coffee @ 33 Dandy They all just do coffee that I really like consistently. I don't really have the vocabulary to describe what makes a coffee that I like and one that I don't, but some of the places which are really popular have given me a coffee that wasn't for me. Not saying it's bad, and if I knew what to ask…
Komodo Coffee in the south lanes. lots of great coffee in brighton (coffee@33, bond st, twin pines) but Komodo is easily the best I've had in recent memory. espresso and filter both on point, good vibe in there too.
