Redditors repeatedly name Indian Summer among Brighton's best Indian restaurants, praising the thalis, lamb mewari and lemon rice, and outstanding service for groups, birthdays and special occasions. It handles gluten-free and vegan requests well (including GF poppadoms), though one recent comment notes the menu has been slightly anglicised.

…If you get stuck for any suggestions in future, another good one to consider might be Chilli Pickle? Wouldn’t be able to choose between, 64 Degrees, Bincho, Indian Summer, Food for Friends, Paradiso Social, Issacs and Cin Cin, all crazy good. Carlitos is also really good with probably the best atmosphere. Terre a Terre Is also nice.
