Repeatedly named Brighton's best coffee, with several Redditors singling out the espresso and well-priced single-origin pour-over beans. It's a small on-site roastery/café near Princes Street and the Old Steine with friendly, knowledgeable staff, though seating is very limited.

What locals say
We have a lot of very decent coffee places here with well trained and knowledgeable staff…. @33, Bond Street, Milk Shed, Loam, 17 Grams, Ikiagi, Black Mocha , Botanist, Pelicano…..followed by the not top tier but still decent ones such as, Flour Pot, Coho, Bread And Milk, Trading Post (at a push), My Coffee Story, Down to Earth, Dhama……. I could go…
Twin Pines for me. I like Milk Shed round the corner as well, but I honestly can’t think of a better coffee that I’ve ever had than the flat white I had from Twin Pines a couple of weeks back.
The Milk Shed is the best I have found for single origin washed beans for my pour overs in Brighton (so far) and really well priced. Coffee @33 does the most amazing coffee in store if you like a fruity cup, but those same beans sell for £25 a bag. I know you didn’t ask but I’ll just share that the best single origin…
Milk Shed probably ticks your boxes the best. experienced happy baristas and they are also a local roaster. I’m pretty damn fussy on coffee and imo this Brighton’s best espresso by a fairly wide margin.
