Consistently rated the cheapest pint in central Brighton, with real ales from around £2.45-£3 and John Smiths as low as £2.60-£3. Since new management took over it's cleaned up its act, and now has a huge sports TV, a hidden beer garden and a pool table, though a few say it still attracts a rowdy, boozy crowd and the decor could use a refurb.

Railway Bell by the station, under new management. Vibe is really good, most expensive pint is Madri at £5. Staropramen is £4.40 and Carling is £3.80. Strongbow is £3.05, and the real ales are £2.45. I think on the weekends evwrything goes up by 10p, I'm not 100% sure. Not sure you'll find a cheaper pint than that…

Most expensive - no I'm sure I could easily fjnd a more expensive pint than that. Still a rip off for sure though. Unrelated note, Railway Bell is under new management and the guy is really nice and seems determined to turn it around. In two short weeks since he took over it no longer stinks of piss. Guinness is £3.85 (I'm Irish, it's a good pint of Guinness he's put it on the shortest line). Staro is £4.40 a pint. I know it's not exactly…

The Railway Bell Not the most glamorous, but a cheap and cheerful pint is never anything to be sniffed it. Prices hover around £5 a pint. They have John Smiths for less than that too.
