Redditors consistently rate The Urchin as one of Brighton's best spots for oysters, mussels and seafood boils, calling it relaxed and reasonably priced for what you get. It's technically in Hove and brews its own beer, and several people say it beats pricier rivals like Salt Room and Riddle & Finns. One caveat: the menu is seafood-focused, so it's not the pick if your company doesn't eat fish.

The Urchin is pretty good, though deep into Hove. I don't actually think Brighton has great seafood for a seaside town - Riddle & Finns and Salt Room are over-rated and overpriced imo. I'd be interested to hear people's thought on the Copper Clam. Never paid it much attention due its location but could be worth a…
The seahorse is terrible and constantly changes hands with its only success based on location. Salt Room, Embers, Copper Clam and Coal Room are all great. Our favourite is The Urchin - a shellfish pub. Really relaxed with amazing food!

…House, Ventnor Botanical Garden, the Needles/Old Battery, Godshill Model Village, Carisbrooke Castle and more. Wheatsheaf Hotel in Newport was very nice when I stayed and because it's so central to the island it made getting about easy. A couple of days is okay for Brighton, The Urchin over in Hove is great for food & they brew their own beers & the Toy Museum often gets overlooked but has so much to offer.
