New Note Orchestra and players from the London Philharmonic mark Samhain, and the Wham Jam choir sings Halloween songs.

Two community music groups share a night at The Old Market. New Note Orchestra plays with musicians from the London Philharmonic Orchestra, in a one-off show for Samhain, the old festival that marks the end of the harvest and the start of winter. Expect haunting harmonies and a few witchy lyrics.

The Wham Jam Thank You Ma’am Community Choir supports and joins in. It sings its own arrangements of songs by The Cure, Florence and the Machine, The Specials, Nick Cave and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Doors open at 6.45pm for a 7.30pm start. Seats are unreserved. Under-16s must come with an adult, and there’s some swearing. Tickets are £14 plus a £2 levy.
