Where are all the Lesbians?
A display on Brighton Museum's North Balcony that looks for lesbian lives in objects from the city's museum collections, alongside artists' responses.
A new display on the North Balcony at Brighton Museum goes looking for the hidden stories of lesbian lives. It pairs objects chosen from Brighton & Hove Museums’ collections with artistic responses to them.
Lisa Hinkins, a collaborative PhD researcher, made the display with a group of community volunteers.
It is included with Brighton Museum admission, and members go free. The display stays up until 28 February 2027.
