Whitehawk community grants of up to £10,000 are open until 31 October
Pride in Place 'Quick Wins' money can pay for events and small projects, or for work on buildings and shared spaces. Start with an email.
Residents, community groups, charities and local organisations in Whitehawk can now apply to the first grant scheme from the area’s Pride in Place programme. The Quick Wins community grants close on 31 October 2026.
There are two kinds. Micro Grants of up to £1,000 are for events, activities and small community projects. Capital Grants of up to £10,000 can pay for improvements to buildings, spaces and local assets.
The money comes from the £20 million that the national Pride in Place programme is putting into Whitehawk.
The first step is an email to prideinplace@brighton-hove.gov.uk with an expression of interest. Applicants then get a pack with the form and guidance notes, and can apply in writing by email or send a short video instead. The Pride in Place team can help with applications, and anyone who wants to discuss an idea first can get in touch.
After the deadline, the Whitehawk Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board will decide which bids get funded.
“We are excited to see what ideas are submitted!” said Kane Louis and Donna Whitehead, the board’s co-chairs, in a statement.
