Mutations Festival adds 23 acts, from Jeffrey Lewis to DJ Food
The two-day festival in 10 Brighton venues is on 23 and 24 October. Brighton Source says tickets are close to selling out.
Mutations Festival has added 23 acts to its bill for Friday 23 and Saturday 24 October, first reported by Brighton Source. More than 100 acts will play across 10 grassroots venues in central Brighton, and one wristband gets you into all of them, venue capacity allowing.
Jeffrey Lewis & the Voltage bring anti-folk to the Friday. Manchester electro-punks Silverwingkiller, the sax-and-drums band O. and the post-punk band Humane play the same night. On Saturday there’s Ninja Tune’s DJ Food, the indie rock band Hank and the local punk band Snayx.
Goo Records is taking over the Prince Albert on the Friday with the Stanford Family Band, Oral Habit, Zo Lief and the Mink. Post Common, whose members come from TRAMMS, John and Yetti, play on Saturday.
They join Fat Dog and Squid on the Friday and Mike D of the Beastie Boys on the Saturday. Set times aren’t out yet. The festival says the full schedule will follow “in the coming weeks”.
Brighton Source said on 7 October that tickets “are close to selling out”. When we checked on 5 October, the final release was on sale at £55.69 for a day and £89.44 for the weekend, with cheaper tickets for under-25s. It’s 18+, and you swap your ticket for a wristband at the East Street entrance to Chalk.
