Widely rated the best Lebanese food in Brighton, tucked under the station arches opposite the Prince Albert. Standouts include fresh grilled lamb, falafel, halloumi wraps and a well-priced £12 meal deal, and you can even take it into the Albert next door to eat with a pint. Main downside is it shuts early, around 9pm.

What locals say
I’ve been to Kambis and I agree, it’s amazing. But I don’t know how Alushi is being slept so much. Literally the best Lebanese food I’ve ever eaten. I don’t say it’s the best restaurant, as it’s a bit obscure, but definitely the best food.
Yeah apart from the one bloke saying they should turn it into a post office it's mostly not idiotic. It needs to be a food court. Alushi is good but I'd kill for a great taco stand there.
Alushi's Lebanese takeaway on Trafalgar street. £12 meal deal gets you chips, a drink, and a wrap so delicious you'll feel like you underpaid. The spicy soujok is our fave but all is…
Best kabab. Alushi under the station. No debate. Best falafel. Falafill not the we heart pretender. Agree on burgers. The others .. well I can’t afford to eat out very often.
