Named again and again as Brighton's favourite or best restaurant, this Preston Street yakitori spot gets praised for consistent, high-quality small plates — order a bit of everything with sake — at prices most call reasonable rather than cheap. The catch: it's notoriously hard to get a table, so book well in advance online or try your luck as a walk-in, ideally early evening.

Bincho Yakitori, the place is lively, the food delicious and fun. Order a little bit of everything, wash it down with a wee bottle of sake and you can't go wrong (unless your date is vegetarian). Just don't tell them I sent you, I owe them money.
If you’re able to get a 5:30 booking at Bincho Yakitori do it. Absolutely incredible yakitori spot - casual but perfect food. These are all nice too: O’Shio, Goemon, Shogun and moshimo I left Brighton 4 years ago and still try to get to bincho whenever I’m down - I miss it so much…
Bincho yakitori. Continuously voted in the top 2/3 restaurants in Brighton every year. Absolutely phenomenal. Small plates, really informal setting, super cheap food. Hands down my favourite place in Brighton! From a Head Chef…
Don’t think Bincho is all that amazing. Wild Flor, Fourth and Church, Embers and Kab are my current favourites. Arissy at the Kemp, Baby Bao at the Pond, Easy Tiger at the Hampton, and Alberta’s at the Windmill for good cooking in a pub setting.
