A repeatedly recommended, old-school Hove curry house praised for its garlic chilli chicken masala, proper vegetarian options and its own delivery drivers (no Deliveroo markup). Not everyone rates it though — a few say it's merely okay or a bit uncomfortable compared to nearby Madrasi or Moonstone, and one prefers Easy Tiger.

What locals say
Bincho Yakitori is my favourite, need to book a few weeks in advance The Villa for turkish food is excellent. Bangers off london road for pies. For high end fine dining Furna and the Fig Tree (Hurstlepierpoint) are my favourites. Vel for Indian food. Chilli Pickle and Hove Tandoori up there as well. Lickle more food van in tesco hove car park is the best Jamaican food I have found. Smoque grill is my favourite burger takeaway, but theres loads of good ones. We are spoilt for good food down here, so many decent places.
Ooh second Hove Tandoori it’s real good. I discovered Boom Bird recently and their wings are amazing, as are the loaded fried but the wings really are some of the best I’ve had. Get it through Just Eat not Deliveroo though as Deliveroo adds on about £2-3 to each item…
Someone recommended Hove Tandoori on here a while back, it's a pretty bog standard menu but it's never let me down. Plus they do their own deliveries so no extra bullshit charges from Deliveroo / Just Eat.
My favourite is Shahi Tandoori. I see Hove Tandoori and Spice Bros recommended a lot on here but I found that, although the food was okay, they were both quite uncomfortable and missing other elements of the curry house experience.
