A well-loved lunch spot in the Open Market serving home-style Greek food, with meze plates from around £8 and nothing over £12. Consistently called delicious, cheap and friendly, with one commenter noting the owners are always there themselves - though one regular wishes they delivered.

What locals say
Kouzina, also in the Open Market, is a greek style home food eatery that our Cypriot friends approved. A meze plate is about £8 if memory serves, but they have heftier options too. I don't think anything goes for more than £12 apiece. Absolutely delicious and the staff is always really friendly!
…greek food could possibly be. every single element of the dish was bad - soggy chips, undressed greek salad, the strangest tasting hummus i've ever tried, uncooked halloumi, cheap supermarket pitta. i have been telling everyone to actively avoid it. not gyros but i recommend Kouzina in the open market for delicious cheap greek…
Well surely it depends what you're after... An honest and brilliant pub meal? The Cleveland Arms Something a bit different? Abysinnia (Ethiopian) A bit fancy but not well known? Semolina (seriously this place is amazing and not well known) Best for lunch? Kouzina in The Open Market They are all round my end of town but what I like is that they're all independent, where the owners are there all the time.. I find some of the more well known places in town, or chains etc.. are just a bit soulless..
Budget depending, Wild Flor is quite possibly my favourite spot, but it is fancy. Food for Friends (veg) and Coal Shed (decidedly not veg) sit in the same category. For more casual dining, Red Snapper (Thai) and Murasaki (Japanese) are absolute gems. Pompoko (Japanese) and Kouzina (Greek, lunch) and Iydea (veg, lunch) are excellence on a budget.
