A big multi-level Lanes bar that one Redditor called 'the Wetherspoon's version of The Plotting Parlour' - popular for cocktails, dancing and free live jazz/swing nights (Flash Mob Jazz Mondays, Swing Ninjas Wednesdays). It's well liked for private room hire and parties, with praise for the staff and food, but regular drink prices get flagged as steep, with one Moretti reportedly £7.35.

- Regular drink prices are steep - one of Brighton's priciest
What locals say
…not, there are some great Escape Rooms in Brighton, which I think are great fun for a daytime activity (if you like a puzzle). We also have a VR place in Churchill Square which I went to for a birthday one year. Lots of great cocktail bars here too - the Plotting Parlour and the Mesmerist spring to mind.
…club night but here are some quirky places you could check out, finishing in a gay bar in Kemp Town. Start at Bees Mouth (excellent Belgian beers n quirky vibes) Head down to the seafront for the Fortune Of War (pub like the inside of a boat with cool music) Back up to The Mesmerist (sometimes have great retro bands!) Across the road to The Actors (friendly gay pub) Down St James Street to The Black Dove (awesome tunes and cocktails with a vinyl Dj on some nights) Finish at Arcobaleno in Kemp Town (never been but heard it’s good)
If you like Swing and Jazz you should head down to the Mesmerist. Flash Mob Jazz every Monday and The Swing Ninjas every Wednesday. Loads of music other nights too. Free entry.
I was in the Mesmerist at the weekend and the Moretti was £7.35 I think?…
