Repeatedly called underrated and a Brighton institution - fully vegetarian Gujarati cooking with friendly family-run service, family photos on the wall, and dishes people describe as tasting home-cooked. The samosa chaat and khaman dokla get specific praise, it's good value, and most dishes are vegan or veganisable, though one commenter found it a bit rough on the stomach.

…(and they are on west street, but stag parties will stag party). St James’ Street is where the fully flagged up queer places are. Classic club night is Revenge if you want to get laid, but there’s a lot of bars to just chill in. Oh, and if you like Indian I’d recommend Planet India. The guy that runs it is so friendly that being there alone would still bee lovely. Lots of family pictures on the wall, jokes, all that. You’ll enjoy it,I think.

Planet India is completely vegetarian but excellent food. Very reasonably priced and you can get plates that are half and half of two curries which I think makes it perfect for sharing in a group.

…insane. Best I've had - vegan or not) Sunbeds Deli do some really cool stuff like vegan scotch eggs and pork pies Botanique in Hove for something really special. Never fails to impress tbh. I still think about their Leek Gratin on the reg. Awesome wine choices too Planet India is an absolutely incredible authentic vegetarian Indian restaurant with most of the dishes being vegan or can be made vegan If you ever get takeaway then Orienten Kitchen for their vegan veggie balls, crispy chili beef and duck pancakes…
