Presuming Ed's on London Road is loved as a cafe by day and bar by night, with an eclectic, salvage-chic decor and a famously friendly, inclusive crowd - there's even a dedicated table for people happy to chat to strangers. People rave about the coffee, the fry-up and the Sunday lunch, and it's a go-to for solo visitors, first dates and remote workers, though its scruffy, dingy vibe isn't for everyone.

It’s really tragic. It didn’t make it through the lockdown sadly. Presuming Ed’s is run by the same guy who ran Marwood but it’s more bar than cafe and isn’t really the same. Bit of Brighton history lost, alas.
