100% would send a mate. Still recommended in 2026.
A friendly grassroots venue on Rose Hill Terrace, repeatedly named the key spot for jazz, techno and experimental/noise music, and a good place to meet other musicians and creatives. Commenters describe it as more an arts space than a traditional pub these days, and multiple 2025 threads confirm it's still open under the same name.

The Rose Hill usually has a lot of left-field stuff going on. Also interested in your project as I like drone, noise and ambient. Do you only have only links to share other than IG? Cause I don’t use it…
…eastwards past the Marina along the Undercliff walk to Saltdean. You can also hire kayaks from the beach. One place to avoid is West Street on weekend nights. The Fortune of War on the beach has awesome DJs/ bands for free at weekends and a really nice international crowd. The Rose Hill venue is also really friendly and has a ton of really diverse stuff.
…Looks Berlin Kollectiv have something going on at Platers Battle Bar. Give that a search. People saying there’s no techno in Brighton are talking nonsense. They just don’t know about it. I’ve seen Techno at Patterns, Concorde, Waterbear, Tilt, Chalk, The Old Market, even the Rose Hill Tavern. Brighton’s small so it’s not gonna be many venues at the weekend like London or Birmingham. And whoever said Techno isn’t big in the UK has no idea. It’s mod weekender this weekend, so related music that will be about a lot this weekend.
The anarchist book store? Yeah, Cowley Club is still around, a friend of mine has played a few gigs there. There's also The Rose Hill not far from Hare and Hounds which is also fantastic for acts that are a bit different to what's mainstream.
