St Peter's Church

Handy city-centre landmark rather than a destination itself

8.5/10

Local score

No. 6 of 41 outdoor spots on r/brighton, from 61 locals across 55 threads.

83% would send a mate. Still recommended in 2026.

Almost nobody talks about the church itself - it's used as a landmark for taxi ranks, walking directions, the Christmas market, a vaccination pop-up, and the long-gone Grubbs burger van that used to sit opposite it. One local flags patchy Vodafone signal in the immediate area.

How old are you? I know there's youth skate clubs if you're young enough. Otherwise lots of people skate around st Peter's church and the park bits between there and the pavilion because of how smooth the ground is. I would not go to the level (insert some joke about ket here)

…boyfriend (now Fiancé) at the Restaurant at Drakes. It was our first Valentines together, and they had Wagyu steak on the menu. Cocktails to start, lovely meal and finished off with drinks in the Charles Street Tap before going home. 2) Cocktails at L'Atelier Du Vin opposite St Peter's Church. Barman had served us a number of times before and instead of using the menu he just asked us what flavour profiles and drink type we were looking for and he picked something perfect for each of us. Brighton has left a lot of great memories but they have been probably my favourite experiences.…

Olio is good also too good to go All food banks I know require a referral, your GP can refer you There are lots of places in Brighton where you can get a meal St Peter’s church does coffee and cake on a Wednesday at 2pm and on a Saturday at 5pm they do a sit down hot 2 course meal and they can direct to you other services If you are really stuck I have some tinned and dried food message…
