Consistently rated among Brighton's top pizza alongside Nanninella - run by a single Italian owner-chef (formerly of VIP in its prime) doing great-value pizza near the Western Road Waitrose. It's more takeaway-with-seating than a sit-down restaurant, and open late enough for post-10pm orders; a couple of people had a middling visit or even found plastic in their pizza, but most call it underrated and consistently good.

What locals say
To be fair , for me it is only the third best option out of loads of similar ones - Number 1 is Nanininella on Preston Street - Number 2 is Torino by Montpellier VIP has declined in quality now that there are 3 locations and one dark kitchen . Torino is just one man from Italy that knows pizza inside out, he actually used to be VIP’s chef in their prime days.
Its lesser known, but Torino is the real hidden gem Check his Google ratings, nothing but 5* He is an Italian bloke that used to be head chef at VIP, now doing his own store by Montpellier, just him there. His pizza is unreal, great value and he is a really charming individual. Others like Fato, VIP have branched out to several stores…
Nanininella is most Brighteners favourite, and has generally the best overall reviews For a great takeaway pizza at good value also try Torino, its run by a guy who is from Italy who used to work at VIP…
Found Torino very run of the mill the one time I tried it. I’ll have to try again, could have been an off day.
