Ocean Film Festival World Tour
An evening of short films about the sea in the Dome's Concert Hall, from Arctic kelp forests to a group of bodyboarders in their 80s.
The Ocean Film Festival World Tour, from the team behind the Banff Mountain Film Festival tour, brings a programme of short films about the sea to the Concert Hall.
In Stone Biter, an Italian photographer moves to northern Norway and finds its kelp forests have almost gone, then meets the people trying to bring them back. The Raftsmen tells how 12 people crossed the Pacific on three handmade wooden rafts in 1973. Granny Grommets follows a group of bodyboarders, some in their 80s, who go out every week.
Doors open at 6.45pm and the films start at 7.30pm, with an interval, ending at about 10.10pm. Tickets are £21.50, or £19.50 for concessions and groups of six or more. Age guidance is 12A.
