Hear'Say and Liberty X play the Brighton Centre on 25 April 2027

Hear’Say and Liberty X will play the Brighton Centre on Sunday 25 April 2027, on a 13-date arena tour marking 25 years since both bands came out of the ITV show Popstars. The tour is called Popstars: The Originals, and it is the first time the two groups have shared a bill.

Hear’Say won the show in 2001. Liberty X were formed by the five finalists who missed out. Hear’Say return as a four-piece, with Danny Foster, Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw and Noel Sullivan; Myleene Klass is sitting the tour out. Liberty X are back with all five original members: Michelle Heaton, Jessica Taylor, Kelli Young, Tony Lundon and Kevin Simm.

Both reached number one. Hear’Say’s Pure and Simple spent three weeks at the top, and Liberty X got there in 2002 with Just A Little.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been 25 years since Popstars changed all of our lives,” Liberty X said in the tour announcement.

The tour opens at the 3Arena in Dublin on 17 April and ends at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on 9 May. Brighton comes between Nottingham and Cardiff.

Fans who register with either band get a presale from 9am on Wednesday 14 October. The remaining tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday 16 October. The Argus⁵ reported the Brighton date.
