Regularly named among Brighton & Hove's best Italians, praised for pasta, an excellent wine list and attentive service - it's on the Michelin Guide, and the Hove branch's Tuesday fixed-price dinner (around a tenner a head) is a favourite. Not everyone agrees though: a couple of recent visitors found a pasta dish bland and overpriced at around £18 a bowl.

If your anniversary is on a Tuesday, go to Cin Cin in Hove, they do an amazing fixed price dinner for a tenner a head. It never disappoints, and if you add in a starter and an extra cocktail or dessert each, you're still well within budget.
Budget: Abyssinia Medium Budget: The Pond Medium: Chilli Pickle High Budget: The Set Too much money but OMG: Etch. (This one is imo 'the best') Also a fan of Market, Cin Cin, 64 Degrees, Murmur, Chard, Little Fish Market, Semolina, Bincho Yakatori, and Riddle & Finns.

Both me and my date were unimpressed with our meals. Bland, tasteless and quality of pasta felt like it…
