The Cow in Seven Dials is well regarded locally, with one regular calling its refurb '100 times better' than what was there before, and it's named among the area's best pub options alongside the Crescent and French Horn. It's not cheap though, one Redditor paid £14.80 for a pint of Beavertown Gamma Ray pre-COVID, and another longtime local reckons it hasn't actually changed that much from its previous incarnations.

- A solid pint in Seven Dials

Good Companions, Hove. I used to go there in the late 90s. Objectively it’s far better now than it was then. The Cow, seven dials. Can’t remember what it was called before, it was some “pre club bar” type place. 100 times better now. Honestly I’d say the opposite is true, most of the pubs I used to go to in the 90s that have subsequently gone all craft beer, are better for the change. Before the IPA millennials took…
Red Snapper is great. Good pubs options with The Crescent, The Cow, The French Horn and The Good Companions 🍻 decent variety of shops and cafes with Kindly, Jasmine and Ricci’s Deli, t@thedials, puck and the Greek bakery. There is a flour pot, Gail’s and Subways for those so inclined 👌 Close to the station, decent bus routes and St Anne’s Well park to relax at.
Lived there myself for a while, I liked the area. Safe, good shops, Riccis deli, the Cow plus other 2/3 pubs, close to town ; it’s a nice…
Pre-COVID, I paid £14.80 for a pint of Beavertown Gamma Ray and a pint of Heineken at The Cow at Seven Dials. Presumably the Heineken was considerably cheaper making the Gamma Ray £8+.
