Regularly named alongside Etch as Brighton's best fine dining, with praise for an exquisite food and wine pairing, a brilliant head chef and team, and several diners saying it's nudged Etch out for celebrations. It's firmly special-occasion money - one commenter paid £250 for two on a 9-course tasting menu with wine.

What locals say
Bincho Yakitori is my favourite, need to book a few weeks in advance The Villa for turkish food is excellent. Bangers off london road for pies. For high end fine dining Furna and the Fig Tree (Hurstlepierpoint) are my favourites. Vel for Indian food. Chilli Pickle and Hove Tandoori up there as well. Lickle more food van in tesco hove car park is the best Jamaican food I have found. Smoque grill is my favourite burger takeaway, but theres loads of good ones. We are spoilt for…
Bincho, palmito, plateau. Unlikely to get a table this late in the day unfortunately. But the real answer here is Furna - possibly the best food I’ve ever eaten, we’ll worth the money!
…have to go above and beyond on top of the food. Having said that, I have eaten at a fair number of Michelin starred restaurants in London, and some outside, that weren’t as good as Etch IMHO. As with some of the comments I think Wild Flor should be right up there too. I liked Furna but don’t think it was quite as good. Feels very prime candidate for a star though.
I don’t think there are any really “posh” restaurants in Brighton, but your nearest thing would be some of the niche places like Furna or maybe Englishes or the Flint House. If you want posh you go to London.
