Redditors consistently rate the margaritas and mezcal cocktails highly, and most find it a solid, kid-friendly, reasonably priced chain option for a casual Mexican meal. A recurring gripe is that vegan dishes are just the meat version with an ingredient removed rather than properly adapted, and several note prices have jumped sharply since Covid, with one group going from about £40 to over £120 for the same order.
- Go for
- Margaritas and a casual kid-friendly meal
- Heads up
- Prices have risen sharply; vegan dishes can disappoint.

Halisco, La Chosa, Carlito Burrito, Wahaca all do pretty decent ones and seem like they’d be kid friendly. If you’re looking for something a more up market I can recommend Kindling for amazing food great cocktails - not sure how kid friendly as I don’t have any!
I’m gluten free for medical reasons and here’s some of my faves! -Wahaca -Moshimo -Pho -taquitos cazazul -burger brothers/ patty and bun/ honest burgers (they all offer gluten free buns/ lettuce wrapped burgers but you might want to call up to check about cross contamination). also i don’t know if you have it already but there’s an app called “find me GF” that basically has a…
We actually love Wahaca! The price is so shocking compared to before Covid tho 🙈 we used to get like 5 plates and 2 drinks each and it was like £40 now it’s well over £120. Will check out Carlito, thank you…
I dont recommend Wahaca. Their idea of vegan food is removing the non-vegan ingredient from an existing recipe. .. which doesn't work. Vegan here, personal recommendations : * Food with Friends - Vegetarian but cater nice vegan options) * Purezza - 100% vegan - small restaurant not too fancy but not too bad, DELICIOUS vegan pizzas…
