Consistently rated among Brighton's best proper pubs, near Norfolk Square - praised for its maze-like layout, roof terrace, good beer choice and a well-regarded Sunday roast (book ahead). It also shows football on multiple screens and recently survived a refurb without losing its character.

My favorites... The Lion & Lobster: Massive rabbit warren of a pub. Great atmosphere, good drinks, good food, ample outdoor seating on outdoor terrace with fire place, lots of TVs for sports. Really good pub grub from the bar menu and a restaurant on the middle floor which is probably past it's best but still good. Traditional and great.

Definitely definitely Robin Hood, very cosy neighborhood vibe and there is a massive library of board games. Also right next to it is Lion and Lobster which is my favourite pub to take people to when they are visiting Brighton and they do decent food. Also next to both of them is Brighton institution Uncle Sams where you can grab a burger before heading…

If by a "typical English Sunday roast experience" at the Lion & Lobster, you mean fucking awful, then you're correct. It was good about 5 years ago. It's not anymore.
