A small, expensive tasting-menu restaurant many call one of Brighton's best meals ever ('brought to tears twice — once by the pudding, once by the bill'). A cluster of more recent comments report disappointing service, thin courses and a dip in quality tied to bad Google reviews, so it's worth checking recent form before booking; the Saturday lunch deal is flagged as a cheaper way in.

Little fish market is excellent but not cheap. Gothic crab is good but not exactly complicated cooking and expensive too. Maroccos is decent for the price. In general, Brighton is very poor for seafood restaurants. You get better seafood a la carte at restaurants that dont specialise.
I love tasting menus and I’m used to hearing the common misconception that “tasting menus are tiny plates, where’s all food?”.
