BFI Amplified: five films at Fabrica

Five evening films at Fabrica on youth voices, histories and subcultures, including Mogul Mowgli and Limbo, several with live music or a guest speaker.

Fabrica is showing five films this month under BFI Amplified, a series linked to its One Song exhibition and to Rip It Up, the BFI FAN season about youth culture on screen.

Ish, on Tuesday 13 October, comes with a mix from the Brighton activists and DJs Radio Calais. Before Mogul Mowgli, starring Riz Ahmed, on Friday 16 October, DJ Priya talks about reviving the club night Swaraj. Limbo, on Tuesday 20 October, follows people waiting on asylum claims on a remote Scottish island, and Alaa Wehbi plays the oud live. Maureen Blackwood and Isaac Julien’s The Passion of Remembrance screens on Friday 23 October, and Last Swim closes the run on Tuesday 27 October.

Doors and bar open at 7pm and films start at 7.30pm. Tickets are £7.50 or £5.50.
