Dreamy Place: Talking of Nature

An afternoon of talks at The Old Market where artists and ecologists, including Ed Santry of The Living Coast, discuss what art and science can show us about nature.

Talking of Nature is an afternoon of talks and conversations, part of Dreamy Place 2026, about what happens when artists and scientists work together on the natural world.

The speakers are the artist Anna Dumitriu; Ed Santry from The Living Coast, Brighton’s UNESCO Biosphere; Martha Henson, who founded the Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival; and Tsz Wai Pun and Coşkun Güçlü, whose joint work Bones of Our Land is on show at Gallery Lock In as part of Dreamy Place. Their projects take in filmmaking, environmental DNA research and ecological restoration.

It runs from 2pm to 4.30pm, and doors open at 1.30pm. Tickets are £5 plus a £2 venue levy. It’s for ages 14 and up, and under-16s must come with an adult.
