Shaun of the Dead at Brighton Film Club
Brighton Film Club's Halloween screening of Edgar Wright's zombie comedy at Fabrica, followed by a debate on whether it counts as a perfect film.
Brighton Film Club meets once a month to watch a film and argue about whether it is perfect. For Halloween it’s Edgar Wright’s Shaun of the Dead, which the club describes as a romantic comedy, a zombie horror and a coming-of-age story at once.
After the screening the film is run through the club’s Ten Perfect Film Criteria, and local filmmaker Thomas Meadmore leads a discussion with the room. The club says the night is for anyone who loves films, not only people who make them.
Doors, bar and pizza open at 6pm. The film starts at 6.45pm and runs 116 minutes, and the discussion runs from 8.55 to 9.30pm. Tickets are £12. Student tickets are £7 and come with two slices of pizza.
