Consistently named Brighton's favourite Indian takeaway on Lewes Road, with fans praising the free rice, optional garlic/chilli add-ons and the off-menu Alvida dish. Redditors say it's never let them down after years of ordering, and it's cheaper if you ring them direct instead of using a delivery app, though one fan jokes it 'does cursed, eldritch things' to their stomach.

Bhindis, I’ve tried going on ten places now and their are constantly good. Other come and go, brinjals went through a phase of being really good but has gone down hill recently IMO. Planet India deffo gets a worthy shout out here too, I think they’re only eat in though.
…Deliveroo lol. It’s almost as if you’re not allowed to use the app of your choice to order food.. I usually flick between Uber Eats and Deliveroo depending on what offers are available, like someone else mentioned, the top rated (with lots of reviews) are all fairly safe. Bhindis indian takeaway is one of our favourites. (if you order directly with them it’s a huge saving). Look for high rated restaurants on deliveroo and Uber Eats and check to see if they offer delivery if you order with them directly. Good luck and enjoy :)
Bhindis on Lewes Road, or the Shaan Tandoori in Portslade if you're further West. Both well tested options, and I'm the sort of person that didn't want to move away from my local area when we bought a new house, because I didn't want to have to go through the process of finding a new…
Ah fellow Brummie, it’s kinda bad around here for our home comforts. I tend to not bother, do Bhindis when I have to, and go up to Southall when the need is too great. There’s a few curry pubs around Crawley which are decent and the kind of curry you’re looking for, but you’re not going to get close to a Ladypool/Soho road experience down here. Chilli Pickle/Dishoom etc are too fancy for my Brummie palate.
