100% would send a mate. Still recommended in 2026.
A seafront seafood restaurant repeatedly recommended for mussels, oysters and mixed small plates (broccoli, squid, prawns all rated tasty), with a window table for sea views a highlight. It's not cheap, but generally seen as better value than Riddle & Finns or Salt Room.

Really depends what he likes. If he wants super fine dining, then…
The seahorse is terrible and constantly changes hands with its only success based on location. Salt Room, Embers, Copper Clam and Coal Room are all great. Our favourite is The Urchin - a shellfish pub. Really relaxed with amazing food!
Copper Clam was lovely when went but it was a good few years back, also lovely location if you can get a window spot looking out. Urchin is defo worth going off…
Actually went to the Copper Clam today, had 3 small plates. Broccoli based plate, squid and prawns. All tasty. But will 100% try the Urchin next time.
